After only a few months of opening the Edward C. Gartland Youth Center continues to be the hub for local youth to participate in constructive activities. The latest event on the center’s schedule is a poetry event set to take place this weekend.

Students on government scholarship say the government has been behind in the payments of their subsistence which is the monthly allowance that students receive in addition to their tuition payments. Our Nikira John has that story.

On Sunday it was all about the St. Lucian Hitters and Guyana Jaguars as the 2008 defending champion St. Lucian Hitters duked it out against the undefeated Guyana Jaguars to see who would walk away with the series title in front of a packed crowd.

There will be no more new land allocations as of today April 1St, 2009, according to the Premier the Hon. Galmo Williams. The Freeze of land is slated to remain in effect until a new system for the allocation of Crown Land is completed and fully implemented. Joydel Trail reports.

Blackbeard, Anne Bonnie, Calico Jack and Mary Reid are some of notorious pirates of old names like these notorious which were introduced to a group of Ambergris Cay members during the private development’s third “in conversations with” series.
