I also was bitten recently in Febuary on my hip. I never saw it, and didn’t even know what it was. It kept growing and growing and i realized it was not a mozzie bite. I could feel the effects of the poison but due to work just thought I was tired. A week after I had it checked out by Dr Slattery and it had already eaten away a large amount of tissues. I had to have it stuffed with Gauze twice and was not able to get in water for a month. It was not a very pleasant experience and there was intense pain in the beginning . Make sure you always shake your clothes out. We think that may of been how I got the bite.
